Sunday night millions watched another dreadful 2.5 hours of the Academy Awards. Sure there were some tres chic, haute couture get ups, and plenty of great borrowed jewels, Ellen is always entertaining, and those rubber band dancers were very cool, but someone need to tell the producers that winners reading notes and rattling off a bunch of names that only the industry insiders know is about a meaningful or entertaining as reading a the ingredients on a box of hair color.

With all that creative talent and the writer pool in LA, it would seem more would snap to the branding opportunity for their careers if they would deliver a message of inspiration like Forrest Whitaker, make us laugh or make us think, but don’t make us listen to a laundry list one’s entire army.
